Storm in LasGidi

Nature’s berth perchance to be –

Wild scenes before my eyes

What fury this, that man should see

The sea pour down from sky?

Of many lingering mysteries

I set my mind upon

This case of storm in LasGidi

Is Nature’s winning pun.

The trees whistled and swayed for joy

The soil approved and cried for more

The sun that scorched for many days

Now dimmed by thickened haze.

I marvelled at the blackened clouds;

Awake with rain and hurtling winds

With head raised to the sky, I cried:

Lord save us sinful beings!

The storm waxed strong as time passed by

Gale howled and teased my wood-door frame

Rain pattered on my window pane

That subtle, lurking lullaby.
